Metroid Prime 4 Beyond Gameplay

Nintendo has finally released gameplay footage of Metroid Prime 4 Beyond running on Nintendo Switch. While we've only see a few glimpses of real-time gameplay, the upcoming title looks very similar to the series' past, albeit with modern touches.

Once again, the Metroid Prime sequel will maintain a first-person perspective for the majority of gameplay. However, when using powers such as the Morph Ball, the game shifts into a third-person camera to give you more of a view of the environment.

In the initial gameplay trailer, we also see the return of scanning, allowing you to learn more about the world as you explore. However, Nintendo has yet to reveal any specific new gameplay details such as the grappling movement of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

At the time of writing, Nintendo has yet to confirm whether or not the new console will even be called the Nintendo Switch 2, or what games will be coming to the system at launch.
