To Craft Wolf Armor you're going to need all the basic materials and equipment first.
- 6 Armadillo Scutes
- Crafting Table
To harvest the Armadillo Scutes, you'll need the Brush tool. Note that its durability will decrease if you use it on Armadillos. Luckily, you don't have to kill these cute little creatures.
How to Craft Wolf Armor
Once you have all the Armadillo Scutes, you can go to your crafting table to make the Wolf Armor. To craft the Wolf Armor, lay out your 6 Armadillo Scutes in an H shape minus the top right piece, which would normally be on position 3.
Once crafted and equipped, the Wolf Armor can give your doggos an 11-point bonus to defence.
How to Equip and Repair Wolf Armor
To equip the Wolf Armor, you need to walk up to one of your tamed adult Wolves. Right-click on it to equip the Wolf Armor and give it the defence buff equivalent to a Diamond Armor buff for horses. To remove the Wolf Armor, equip the Shears and right-click on your doggo.
Due to the insane defence stats on the Wolf Armor, it has been nerfed by granting it only 64 Durability. This means you'll have to repair it fairly often.
There is only one method to repair Wolf Amor, and that's by right-clicking on it while equipped while you hold an Armadillo Scute. Each Armadillo Scute will restore 8 points of Durability to the Wolf Armor. There are no other repair tools or enchantments you can use to repair the Wolf Armor.
How to Dye Wolf Armor
Lastly, you can dye your Wolf Armor using the Crafting Grid in the Java Edition or the Cauldron if you're on the Bedrock Edition. Due to all the potential colours and combinations, there are a total unique 5,713,438 colours you can dye your Wolf Armor. Yeah, it's a crazy number.
