How can I play Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection?
The Megaman Battle Network series originated on the Gameboy Advanced and finished on the Nintendo DS, but how will we be able to play the Legacy Collection when it's released? We know that there will be a physical version of the game that will be available on Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4. Additionally, there will be a digital version for the Switch, Playstation 4, and on Steam!
On top of that, if you're purchasing the game digitally, you can purchase the game in two separate volumes. Volume one will have the following titles:
- Megaman Battle Network
- Megaman Battle Network 2
- Megaman Battle Network 3: White
- Megaman Battle Network 3: Blue
Volume two will have these titles:
- Megaman Battle Network 4: Red Sun
- Megaman Battle Network 4: Blue Moon
- Megaman Battle Network 5: Team Protoman
- Megaman Battle Network 5: Team Colonel
- Megaman Battle Network 6: Cybeast Gregar
- Megaman Battle Network 6: Cybeast Falzar
Now, we don't have pricing for these games just yet. We'd probably wager that we'll see each volume in the $30-$35 range, with the full collection around $70.
Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection features
In addition to all 10 games in the series, we'll also be getting some smaller features out of game. The first one is an music player that has all 188 songs from the games. You can even set the track to be the background theme for the next feature, the Art Gallery.
The Art gallery has art from the game, as well as concept art and art that was used for merchandise as well. There's over 1000 pieces of art to view, which is a really cool.
The next feature that we get is a high resolution switch. Effectively, this upscales the resolution of the game, smoothing out some of the blocky edges. While the game still looks like it's an older game, it's much more aesthetically pleasing.
The Tokyo Gameshow gave us some new information about a new feature that will be in the game and it's quite cool! We will be getting online battling and chip trading! Typically these features were locally possible on the Gameboy, but now we have full online capabilities.
And that's all we have for you! Be sure to check back, as we'll be bringing you any and all official information that comes up for the game.
