Modern Warfare 2 contains a huge range of game modes to suit any style of play and as Season Two moves into view, Infinity Ward has unveiled the Modern Warfare 2 Bounty mode. This particular mode is one of the final pieces of content for Season One Reloaded in addition to the return of Shipment and the arrival of the hugely popular Chimera assault rifle.

Described as a 'TDM-style mode,' Bounty adds a twist on the iconic team-based mode where two teams battle it out for a chance at victory.

Modern Warfare 2 Bounty mode explained

As mentioned above, Bounty shares several similarities with Team Deathmatch. So, why would you swap TDM with Bounty? Instead of constantly running around shooting at everything that moves, the players topping the leaderboards are branded as the high-value target.

Just like a bounty contract in Warzone 2, the movements of the targets will appear on your minimap. If you take down the target, you'll earn double points for the team.

After a while, the target automatically refreshes so players don't spend the entirety of a match with a huge target on their backs. All in all, Bounty sounds like a unique addition that slots in with the rest of MW2's popular game modes.

Is Modern Warfare 2 Bounty mode worth playing?

If you're after an alternative to the likes of standard TDM and Domination, it's definitely worth dropping into a couple of Bounty matches. There's a possibility of it disappearing after a few weeks so be sure to check it out and see how it compares to other modes while you can.
