Modern Warfare 2 is packed with plenty of innovation. Ranging from weapon tuning to a brand-new camo unlock structure, there’s plenty of change in Infinity Ward’s latest multiplayer offering.

While many continue to master the new additions to the Call of Duty franchise, members of the community are attempting to navigate through the menus in order to find the barracks. Typically, the barracks are the home to in-game statistics and a wealth of challenges to complete.

After searching all corners of the Modern Warfare 2 menus, players are sharing their frustrations at the lack of barracks, leaving them unable to check their K/D ratio and any of the unlock requirements for various cosmetic items.

No Modern Warfare 2 barracks

Although Infinity Ward includes plenty of features, the lack of barracks is hugely annoying for those wanting to compare their stats against the very best players on the planet. Reddit user “MW-116” questions if the developer simply forgot to add a feature that appears in all Call of Duty games.

“Who cares about winning games if there is no way to check it? I seriously don’t even care now if I win or lose,” says the user. There are plenty of frustrated users left unable to see their highest killstreak or their favourite weapon. “I enjoy seeing statistics of things like how many killstreaks I’ve destroyed with launchers, how many bullets I fired etc…” states another user.

Although there are plenty of annoyed players, the reasoning behind the lack of barracks is rather straightforward. With Infinity Ward opting for seasonal challenges, there’s no need for barracks in order to check challenges that aren’t live yet. However, the inability to check your K/D and other in-game stats is far from ideal.

With the launch of season 1 right around the corner, let’s hope the developer adds the heavily requested feature. For more, check out our guides containing intel on upcoming Modern Warfare 2 double XP events and the best Modern Warfare 2 sniper rifle.
