Weapon blueprints in Modern Warfare 2 are some of the most popular items in the entire game. Capable of transforming the appearance of the best guns and weapons, there’s a huge variety to purchase and unlock.
As attention turns towards the start of Season 4 Reloaded, an actor from the single-player campaign is seemingly teasing their return while Microsoft’s ongoing battle with the Federal Trade Commission has revealed PlayStation’s exclusivity deal with Activision is ending sooner than many anticipated.
The latest issue affecting Modern Warfare 2 players involves a popular weapon blueprint. Instead of it appearing in matches, it’s causing the game to crash completely.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 weapon blueprint crashing game
Uncovered by Reddit user Darkvenom39, the Liquid Hot blueprint for the popular ISO Hemlock assault rifle is freezing the game before booting players out of the menu.
One fan jokes: “Did you say there’s a cosmetic issue? We will have that fixed in 2 hours!” referencing Infinity Ward’s slow response time to other bugs and glitches impacting players.
It’s unclear what’s causing the entirety of Modern Warfare 2 to crash once the Liquid Hot weapon blueprint is equipped, but it’s safe to say fans aren’t best pleased with the recent revelation. One player claims: [Liquid Hot is the] worst skin ever.”
The Liquid Hot blueprint features as part of the Tracer Pack Elementals: Magma Flow bundle, which costs 3,000 CoD Points. Considering its high cost, the fact fans are paying for a blueprint that crashes the game is far from an ideal situation.
With the mid-season update a few days away, there’s a high chance a fix for Liquid Hot features in the extensive list of bug fixes that usually appears as part of the patch notes. In the meantime, it’s best to avoid this particular blueprint and select another one for the ISO Hemlock.
