Best Modern Warfare 3 Lachmann Shroud attachments
The Modern Warfare 3 gunsmith contains a wealth of attachments that are capable of transforming the Lachmann Shroud into an SMG that excels in close-quarters in addition to mid-range combat. After some testing, we've found a combination that's perfect for the job.
- Barrel: 170mm Grapple VI
- Stock: Meer Recoil-56 Factory Stock
- Underbarrel: Chewk Angled Grip
- Ammunition: 9mm Sub HP
- Rear Grip: Lachmann TCG-10
For an initial boost in bullet velocity and range, the 170mm Grapple VI barrel is where the best set of Lachmann Shroud attachments begins. For further damage improvements, the 9mm Sub HP ammunition disables sprint when the bullets hit the legs of the target which gives you the perfect opportunity to eliminate them with minimal resistance.
Aim-down sight speed for this particular SMG is already very low, which is why the trio of the Chewk Angled Grip, Lachmann TCG-10, and Meer Recoil-56 Factory Stock focuses on keeping recoil to a minimum.
Best Modern Warfare 3 Lachmann Shroud perks and equipment
Below, we’ve got the best perks and equipment to help you get the most out of the Lachmann Shroud in Modern Warfare 3.
Perks
- Vest: Overkill
- Gloves: Assault
- Boots: Lightweight
- Gear: Tac Mask
In our opinion, you'll want to use the overkill vest when wielding the Lachmann Shroud as this vest gives you the biggest bonus to your mobility. Being able to reload your gun while sprinting makes you extremely mobile, and the increase in weapon swap speed gives you more options faster. We also recommend taking the assault gloves, as these will allow you to maintain your aim while jumping.
Bringing the tac mask will reduce your vulnerability to flashbangs, allowing you to keep your gun up and stay more aware of your surroundings. Lastly, the lightweight boots synergise well with the Lachmann Shroud, thanks to their improvements to your movement and swim speed.
Equipment
- Lethal: Frag Grenade
- Tactical: Flash Grenade
While all of the lethal types of equipment can be used to great effect, the frag grenade offers the most versatile way to dispatch opponents. You'll be able to master the timing and the range of your frag grenade throws once you've had a bit of practice. Its larger effective range makes it a great combo with the Lachmann Shroud.
The flash grenade offers the most useful utility for your tactical equipment pick. You can use your flashes to get the drop on unsuspecting enemies or to gain an advantage if you're under fire.
Is the Modern Warfare 3 Lachmann Shroud meta?
Based on how we think the Lachmann Shroud will perform when Modern Warfare 3 releases, we're not sure that it will become a major player in the game's meta. Given that it's one of the weaker SMGs in MW2, the gun doesn't stand much chance for MW3. For now, though, we can only speculate on the Lachmann Shroud's performance until Modern Warfare 3 is fully released.
