Eagle-eyed Modern Warfare 3 fans have spotted a subtle Easter Egg paying homage to the popular American drama Breaking Bad.

As part of the Season 2 update for Modern Warfare 3, Sledgehammer Games' most recent release will see the arrival of three new multiplayer maps, the appearance of The Walking Dead's Rick Grimes as a playable character, and two weapons available to unlock through the battle pass.

Ahead of the new season, Activision posted a trailer showcasing the new battlegrounds and fans were easy were quick to spot the Easter Egg referencing one of Breaking Bad's most iconic scenes.

Spotted by Reddit user sw3ar, an overview of the Stash House map contains a pizza on the roof of the garage.

The rooftop pizza pays tribute to Walter White managing to throw a pizza onto his roof in a fit of rage during an episode of Breaking Bad. Even Sledgehammer Games decided to get in on the fun. The developer jokes: "We got dipping sticks..."

A Breaking Bad Easter Egg appearing in Modern Warfare 3 has sparked speculation surrounding a potential crossover. One fan says: "Now all we need is a Breaking Bad collab to make this and the RV on Border Crossing come full circle."

The pizza on the roof isn't the only Breaking Bad reference in Modern Warfare 3. Just outside of the Meat map, a motorhome with bullet holes in the door can be found.

The Call of Duty franchise is no stranger to joining forces with the world of television. Recent seasons have seen collaborations with Amazon Prime's The Boys and for Season 2, The Walking Dead makes its debut in the shooter franchise.

For now, there aren't any signs of a Breaking Bad crossover event happening in Call of Duty but with another four seasons of post-launch content before 2024's title releases, there's plenty of time for the likes of Heisenberg to be the one who knocks on the door of multiplayer and Warzone.
