Modern Warfare gets the classic map Crash, exclusive to PlayStation and Survival mode for now

A new version of the classic ’07 map Crash is coming to Modern Warfare (2019). As spotted by VG247, the map’s inclusion in season five was announced Tuesday on the official PlayStation blog.

“A familiar Crash site is the locale for the newest map playable in the PlayStation-exclusive Survival mode,” the post reads. “Take advantage of long sightlines or head to the rooftops and lock down a building to outlast waves of enemies. Get Killstreaks, freshen your loadout, and restock your ammo between rounds to equip your foursome with the tools to survive on Crash.”

Exclusive’s a slippery term in the games industry these days, and in this case we’re looking at a brief period of timed platform exclusivity. That expires on October 1, 2020, so it sounds like we can expect the Survival mode (along with Crash and other maps) to make its way to PC, Xbox One, and so on at the beginning of October.

Modern Warfare and Warzone both got a massive seasonal update on August 5, bringing a new battle pass; new maps for 6v6 multiplayer, Ground War, and Gunfight; and of course a season’s worth of new modes, Operators, weapons, and cosmetic rewards.
