How to get Koins fast in Mortal Kombat 1
Koins are the main currency in Mortal Kombat 1, and if you want to buy new skins or accessories, you'll need to amass a treasure trove worth of them. Here are a few tips on increasing your Koin yield!
Complete the tutorials
First and foremost, the extensive tutorial section in Mortal Kombat 1 is a near-endless fountain of Koins. The various categories range from basic attacks to more complex combos and defensive tips, with each individual lesson within a category netting you 250 Koins.
For completing an entire category, which usually numbers no more than ten lessons, you'll also get an extra bonus of 1,000 Koins.
You can blast through the tutorial in a couple of hours quite easily, and even fast than that if you're a seasoned Mortal Kombat player. With seven categories overall, you can net at least 10,000 Koins if you go back to fighting school.
Complete fights
It's a no-brainer, but simply taking on as many fights as you can in Mortal Kombat 1 is another solid, but less consistent, way of getting Koins. You'll net them from completing Kampaign modes like the main story and tower gauntlets, as well as online fights. As such, you'll never struggle to get Koins in Mortal Kombat 1.
How to use Koins in Mortal Kombat 1
Koins in Mortal Kombat 1 are used to purchase spins at the Shrine. This is a new feature in this series reboot, where you spend 1,000 for a randomly determined prize from a pool of possible items.
In our experience with Mortal Kombat 1 so far, you can get anything from concept art to outfits for your fighters from the Shrine, so you'll definitely want to spend Koins there when you can.
