This marks another win for Tom Holland, following the exponential accomplishment of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The webhead's third MCU outing is still in the US box office charts, coming in 3rd place with £7.7 million collected over the weekend.

Combining the major success achieved by both Holland-led pictures, the 25-year old actor's reported pay-rise is surely imminent.

Uncharted's triumph also marks a major step forward for PlayStation Productions, showcasing that there is a demand for videogame films based on their properties. The Last of Us is set to receive its own HBO TV show, while both Twisted Metal and Ghost of Tsushima adaptations are in development.

Uncharted recreated the famous plane sequence from Drake's Deception. In a recent behind-the-scenes video, Holland detailed how the beloved scene was transformed from game to film.
