The recent relaunch of MultiVersus has been a bad one, with fans not enjoying some of the changes made by these developers. It seems that the devs are aware of this as they’re going to try and balance things out with the characters, starting with The Iron Giant.
On Twitter, the devs have thanked fans for their criticisms and have told them that The Iron Giant will be removed from the game’s roster, at least for now. Fans who main the character won’t have to worry about the mechanoid’s absence for too long, since the devs will be patching him up.
While fans won’t have access to Iron Giant for a while, the devs at MultiVersus have added Garnet from Steven Universe in the game’s preview rotation. Both characters aren’t very similar, but there is at least an attempt to keep the roster a bit more lively during the robot’s absence.
Iron Giant’s inclusion in the game has received a mixed reception from fans, since the message of their movie is against violence. Although some of the movie references done in the game are fun, the character’s inclusion is still an odd one for many. Then again, Velma from Scooby Doo isn’t known for her fighting skills and she’s still in the game.
More characters are expected to join the MultiVersus roster in the near future, with fans finding data for favorites like Ruby from RWBY. Warner Bros. is home to thousands of iconic characters across all kinds of media and seeing their move-sets is always pretty fun. Joker, Jason, and Agent Smith were already added as part of Season 1, so we can’t wait to see who else is joining.
Fans can enjoy MultiVersus right now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Steam. The platform fighter is free-to-play, but fans can use real money to buy more characters and costumes. Additional characters are expected to be added as more seasons of the game are introduced.
