A huge developer may be on board for the Shiba Inu Metaverse as comments by SHIB lead Shytoshi Kusama reveal his excitement for an upcoming announcement.

With the Shiba Inu land sale in full swing, many holders are awaiting more news on what it will look like outside the 2D map. And now, comments from Shytoshi suggest SHIB holders will be impressed by the first developer onboarded onto the metaverse project.

So, what do we know about this mystery developer?

Shiba Developer Announcement Could Be Massive

In a Telegram group, Shytoshi showed his buzz for the upcoming Shiba Inu metaverse developer announcement.

“What we are going to announce next week or [the] week after is going to floor EVERYONE,” he said. “Even I am floored.”

Shytoshi then revealed they will first reveal the individual chosen to lead this arm of the metaverse, similar to the William Volk announcement for the Shiba Inu Game.

“So you know how we hired Volk for the game. Well, we need the same level for the metaverse,” Shytoshi added.

Speculation has been brewing about the potential metaverse developer, particularly around the CK1 teaser. However, Shytoshi said it is “impossible to guess” who the mystery individual will be.

Of course, that hasn’t stopped many of the ShibArmy. Names linked with Activision Blizzard, and other major AAA studios continue to be thrown around.

When asked about any clus, he said: “Absolutely not. At this calibre, I can’t even divulge anything.”

This follows a tweet from Shytoshi earlier in May in which he said he had “the best meeting in my entire time as Shytoshi,” likely about the metaverse.

Shytoshi’s comments state the announcement would be next week or the week after. As such, we’d expect the reveal to come at some point in May.

The SHIB metaverse developer was first expected to be revealed in April, based on information included in a blog post. However, this never materialised, possibly due to delays or changes to the partnerships.
