Capcom has released the next entry in the Devil May Cry series, a mobile free-to-play game on Android and iOS. Dubbed Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat, the new DMC game brings the stylish combat of Capcom’s hack-and-slash to your phone.

Developed by YuChang Games, the studio behind Mega Man X DiVE Mobile, the new DMC game is the only Devil May Cry mobile game supervised by Capcom on the market today.

The new mobile game claims it was developed in “deep participation” by Capcom to transfer the complex combat system of games such as Devil May Cry V onto mobile controls. Furthermore, the mobile game captures the visual language of recent DMC games with gorgeous, motion-captured models and its signature gothic aesthetic.

Peak of Combat also benefits from multiple playable characters from the series’ history, and additional characters are expected to release in the future. Alongside the stylish demon hunter Dante, you can also play as evil brother Vergil, the ever-badass one-armed Nero and even the gun-toting Lady.

With multiple characters, you’ll explore demon-filled levels to slay foes and earn red orbs to upgrade heroes and weapons. You can even blast enemies up into the air to engage in long aerial combos you only really see in console games these days.

Alongside these single player levels, the new Devil May Cry game also includes multiplayer functionality. For starters, you can play every level in co-op with friends, and also engage a PvP arena that allegedly has “no pay-to-win element”.

Capcom is so hyped for Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat that it’s invested in an original song for fans of the series. “Fire Inside" by Devil May Cry V composer Casey Edwards brings forth memories of Devil Trigger, the first mainstream song in Capcom’s decades-old franchise.
