After just over a week of PTR testing, New World is set to launch its first major content patch called Into the Void on the 18th of November which brings in a new weapon, enemy mob types, faster running on roads, and much more quality of life features.
Amazon Games Studios has had a busy month dealing with bugs and gold exploits but is still on track to release the first set of major changes to the game.
The highly anticipated Void Gauntlet makes its way to the game and is perfect for Life Staff players as it will be the second weapon to scale off focus and intelligence, making it a perfect secondary offering healing through the Decay tree or close-range damage through the Annihilation tree, but will make a good secondary for many weapon choices.
The Varangian Knights are a new mob type making their way to the shores of Aeternum, and it is up to the players to find out why. New enemies include the Varangian Hewer, Varangian Scout, Varangian Knight, and Varangian Archer.

While there are still no mounts in the game, a new feature coming to the game is faster running on roads, which will increase speeds by only 10% but will drop off if a player engages in combat by dodging, blocking, attacking, or being hit with a debuff.
This likely won't change much as it will still be faster to take shortcuts through the world anyway, but now the system is in place it can always be improved on.
There is a bunch of smaller quality of life changes announced, including more bug fixes, new PvP missions, and updates to the main storyline.
