As Chapter 3 of Ninja Gaiden 2 Black unfolds, Ryu finds himself in the wreckage of Manhattan, destroyed by a disaster.

The initial area is relatively calm, but it doesn’t take long before enemies appear.

Expect the first wave to feature blade-holding dogs rushing your way as you navigate the street's ruins.

Enemies will pop up in different numbers depending on the difficulty, so keep your wits about you.

As you explore the open area, you’ll also come across multiple chests packed with useful items like Herbs of Spiritual Life, Red Essence orbs, and the powerful Vigoorian Flail, a new weapon for Ryu.

When you reach the underground garage, this weapon will be your best bet for dealing with enemies.

After collecting everything and heading through the garage, you'll find a set of stairs.

Before you head up, spin around and grab the chest with Blue Essence.

The first Dragon Save Point is up ahead in a little nook, so don’t forget to save before moving on.

Once saved, your next move is to reach the rooftops. To move ahead, you’ll need to pull off some wall jumps, as the ladder is broken.

As soon as you’re on the roof, run into flame mage ninjas and other usual enemies.

Take them down, but keep an eye out for the flying fiends that will appear near the roof edge.

Use your Fiend’s Bane Bow to take these enemies down from a distance.

When you’re through with the flying pests, a couple of chests will be nearby.

You’ll find a Devil’s Way Mushroom, which powers up your Ninpo abilities.

Another chest on the lower level holds Grains of Spiritual Life to get your health back.

While moving through the rooftops, you’ll run into more wall-running spots, so don’t forget to use your new skills.

You’ll need to use these skills to jump between rooftops and move through tight spaces.

Sooner or later, you'll come across a ladder that takes you to a higher platform, where another ambush awaits.

When you wipe out all the enemies, head down the stairs ahead to reach the second Dragon Save Point.

Save your game and then hit the sewers. The sewers are crawling with more blade dogs, but you'll stumble upon some useful items as you go.

First up, the Jewel of the Demon Seal is on a body at the end of the path. You can upgrade your Ninpo with this item, so don’t miss out.

If you keep going through the sewer, you'll find a chamber with broken stairs. It's the perfect place to work on your wall running.

These will get you to the top of the chamber, where a chest with Yellow Essence is.

As you continue, use your newly acquired abilities to get past tight areas and handle any enemies you encounter.

Once you hit the next sewer section, you’ll run into a Dragon Save Point. Save it and just move on.

You'll find yourself in a collapsed subway soon, doing more wall runs and fighting off enemies.

Ensure you have enough healing items and upgrade materials, as the enemies will get harder soon.

A chest containing Red Essence will be useful for powering up your weapons and Ninpo.

You'll soon come across another save point as you go through the wrecked subway cars.

Once you’re through the subway, the final boss is right there.

Before you dive into the boss fight, look around for any last items, like Essence and healing orbs.

You can always swing by a nearby store if you're low on supplies. The final battle is against the Death Megalo Flyer, a massive, worm-like fiend.

Stay far and shoot with your bow to get the job done. The Fiend's Bane Bow comes in clutch here, dealing major damage to the boss.

The Megalo Flyer also has a few deadly attacks to watch out for, such as Silver Projectiles, which you’ll need to block or dodge, and Electric Orbs, which it launches at you.

These orbs can hit hard and leave you stunned, so it's best to steer clear of them.

The Megalo Flyer also has a Shocking Aura, which will damage you if you get too close.

Keep your space and line up shots at the Megalo Flyer’s head with your bow.

If you have Art of the Inferno Ninpo available, unleash it to deal massive damage to the boss.

Don’t forget to dodge and block while using your Ninpo and bow to whittle its health down.

After the fight, a cutscene will roll, ending the chapter and setting you up for Chapter 4.
