Thinking of joining a Guild? Creating and managing Guilds in Palworld offers a way to share bases and collaborate with friends. You can work together, share Workbenches, and even swap Pals.

However, the game itself doesn't really explain a lot when it comes to joining a Guild. If you're curious as to how Guilds work, you're in the right place. In this guide, we'll take you through how Palworld Guilds work.

How do Palworld Guilds work?

In Palworld, each player can operate one Guild. When you create a Guild, it will show up as unnamed unless you assign one. Currently, there's no option to customize it in any other way, but seeing as the game is still in early access, there's a chance we'll be able to get those features soon.

The Guild has a maximum capacity of 20 players, allowing you to invite up to 19 others to join you. If you want your friend to join your Guild, you'll need to be in the same multiplayer world for it to work.

To establish a Guild, you'll need to navigate to the main menu and access the Guild tab on top. You can create a Guild here, and then invite your friends to join.

Here's how to add a player to your Guild:

  1. Ensure the player you want to invite is in your multiplayer world.
  2. Locate each other in-game.
  3. Your friend needs to hover their cursor over or position their camera on your character.
  4. The Join Guild option should appear for your friend. They'll need to press and hold X on their controller.
  5. You'll receive a pop-up that a player wants to join your Guild. Accept the request, and that's it—your friend is now part of your Guild.

In the Guild menu, you'll only see the number of players in your Unnamed Guild without their names. Currently, there isn't a method for the host to remove Guild members, but Guild members can choose to leave through the Guild menu.

Guild members can access each other's bases and are able to use each other's structures. Note that Guilds members don't share experience, resources, or Pals. You'll have to work for those on your own, however, trading Pals using the Palbox is possible. As of now, there don't seem to be additional benefits to being part of a Guild, though this may change with Palworld's full release.

Players can join only one Guild per world. You have the option to leave your Guild, which results in losing access to Guild members' bases. After leaving your current Guild, you'll be able to join a different one.
