The sprawling world of Palworld relies heavily on resources, with Nightstar Sand ranking as one of the most prized.
This glowing material is what you need to craft the game’s best weapons, armor, and mobility boosts.
However, unlike other resources, Nightstar Sand isn’t easy to find. But don’t worry; we’ve got you covered with the best ways to get it.
How To Get Nightstar Sand
Nightstar Sand can only be found at night, so you must plan your collection trips around the in-game day and night cycle.
As dusk falls, glowing yellow patches of sand will appear in some sandy regions, showing where Nightstar Sand is.
These glowing spots will be gone by dawn, so act quickly before the day begins. True to its name, it appears in sandy places.
The two main locations to reliably collect Nightstar Sand are Feybreak Island and the Sand Dunes.
Both regions have plenty to offer, but each has its own vibe that might make one more your style. You can mostly find Nightstar Sand on Feybreak Island.
The main spots on the island are the Scorched Ashlands (-209267, -517354, -1411), the Withered Shores (-163365, -596805, -1483), the Loess Plains (-258764, -797450, -1869), and the Deserted Ash Plateau (-477567, -568835, -2017).
These areas are spread across the island, so you may need to travel between them to collect all the available sand.
Feybreak Island is the most dependable spot, though it can sometimes be tricky.
Anti-aircraft towers guard certain spots on the island, so you can’t use flying Pals to collect sand there.
You'll need to dodge or destroy these towers if you want to fly.
In addition, be cautious of hostile Pals and enemies that might throw a wrench in your gathering.
If you prefer a safer, less cluttered area, you can head to the Sand Dunes in the northeastern part of the map.
The Sand Dunes might have fewer glowing sand patches than Feybreak Island, but they still have a decent amount of nodes.
The best spots to visit in the Sand Dunes are the Deep Sand Dunes (363783, 193650, 2790) and the area near the PIDF Tower entrance (415522, 31866, 15788).
These areas are relatively open, so you won’t have to deal with much clutter to find the glowing sand patches.
You can easily see these patches in the dark, and if you get close, you can interact with them to collect the Nightstar Sand.
Make sure to act quickly, as the nodes will vanish as soon as daylight breaks.
Thankfully, you can adjust the day and night cycle through the World Settings, allowing more time to collect sand before dawn.
Using a mount or flying Pal helps cover large areas if you want to gather faster.
The terrain on Feybreak Island is pretty big, so having a mount makes moving around way more efficient.
