How To Smelt

The first step to smelting is getting the schematic you need.

This schematic is a guide for smelting specific materials, such as copper and other ores.

You’ll find a basic Ore Smelting Schematic for sale with vendors like Haley Ren in the main crafting areas.

There will be a small fee, usually around 1 silver and 46 copper. Make sure you have enough gold to finish the trade.

Once you have the schematic, you can start working with basic metals like copper.

After you pick up the schematic, you’ll need to learn it. To do so, open your inventory and right-click the schematic to learn it.

After doing so, your character will gain the ability to smelt basic ores.

Now that you know this, you can start turning copper into bars and check out other ores as you go.

Before you can start smelting, you’ll need raw ores. The simplest way to gather these is through mining.

If you pick the mining profession, you can extract ores from different mineral nodes scattered across the world.

Alternatively, if mining isn’t your specialty, you can buy ores from other players through the marketplace or trade directly with them.

Copper ore is relatively common early on, but as you become more skilled at smelting, you'll need to find more ores, such as nickel, iron, and rare ones like asherium.

After gathering enough ore, go over to a smelting station.

You can usually find these stations near blacksmiths like Sad Flintfinger, who hangs out by the forges in the big cities.

When you reach a smelting station, click on it and select the smelting option.

From there, you can choose the ore you want to process. The smelting process is simple: click the ore you want to refine and hit the smelt button.

However, smelting can be hit or miss when it comes to perfect bars.

The smelting process can go either way – you might get crappy bars or end up with perfect ingots.

Once the ore is smelted into bars, there are a few things you can do. You can use the bars to craft or sell them to other players.
