Breakdown
- A new Persona 3 Reload mod gives everyone amazing emo outfits
- This mod also adds emo songs from the past and they will play during battles
- Mods like these keep the game alive and replayable, as Atlus refuses to add the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable
Persona 3 Reload is still one of this year’s highest-rated games, but the upcoming Expansion Pass hasn’t impressed fans, outside of Episode Aigis. Leave it to modders to offer up something better, as this particular fan has added amazing emo outfits to the game.
Hilariously called the Just-A-Phase mod, this gives the cast of SEES emo outfits based on popular bands like My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco, and Blink-182. Created by JinxedYeen, this mod is available to download in GameBanana, so fans who miss their emo years should definitely pick this up.
These outfits are perfect since the game is set in 2009, when the emo genre was really taking off. It also helps that Persona 3 Reload is the moodiest installment in the franchise, making these costumes even more appropriate.
New costumes aren’t the only additions that come with this mod, as players can also gain access to various emo songs from the past. Hits like Welcome to the Black Parade, American Idiot, and Misery Business will play during battles when you have the emo costumes equipped. Just make sure you aren’t livestreaming the game, since licensed music will mean an immediate takedown.
Mods have helped make Persona 3 Reload feel like a more complete experience, often giving fans content Atlus won’t. The most obvious example of this being a FeMC mod, which adds the long-requested female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable. Atlus is putting their foot down and not adding her to the main game, so fans will have to make due with these mods.
While the missing content is annoying, this is still a stellar JRPG that fans new and old should pick up. Even with these missing features, we felt that this was an excellent game, giving it a perfect score in our review.
Persona 3 Reload is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC. Fans will be able to pick up the Episode Aigis DLC as part of the Expansion Pass this September.
