Following the announcement earlier this month that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be released for multiple platforms in 2022, more information about the game was revealed thanks to the game's official Japanese website.
NME reports that one of the updates provided by the website includes Arena Ultimax's new RPG-style game mode known as Golden Arena Mode. Its official description (also translated by NME) reads as:
“Role play and have fun in Golden Arena Mode! If you win the battle, you will gain experience points and level up! Earn skill points and allocate them to learn new skills. Enjoy developing your favourite characters.
By increasing your social links with support characters, they can learn new abilities. Deepen your bond and gain the advantage in battle!”
