Persona 5 Tactica features much more simplistic character models and environments than previous entries from the franchise, namely Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers. For this reason, Tactica requires less graphical fidelity in order to work at its best.
Presumably, this makes Persona 5 Tactica the perfect game to port over to Nintendo's relatively less powerful handheld console system. But with the game now out, we can finally answer the question: does Persona 5 Tactica run well on Nintendo Switch?

Does Persona 5 Tactica run well on Nintendo Switch?
Fortunately for Nintendo Switch players, Persona 5 Tactica does run well on the Nintendo Switch. The worst players could have to deal with would be a few loading screens that overstay their welcome, but no game-breaking issues that Switch users may have come to expect from modern ports to their beloved portable console.
Whether you're using the Switch docked or undocked, you'll find that Persona 5 Tactica retains its vibrant visuals and smooth asset renders. Most surprisingly of all, the game maintains a steady framerate while doing this, with next to no noticeable drops in quality from start to finish.
Still, despite how good the port is in the visuals department, we should note that it doesn't take full advantage of the Switch's unique hardware. Features such as touch control would mix perfectly in a grid-based tactics game, but that's honestly a nitpick considering just how fun and convenient playing the game portably can be on its own.
Playing Persona 5 Tactica on the handheld Nintendo Switch offers an experience that the game's other stationary platforms just can't. So, if players can ignore the slightly longer load times in exchange for the convenience a pick-and-play handheld brings, there's really no reason not to play Persona 5 Tactica on the Nintendo Switch.
What's more, hardcore collectors will be thrilled to know that Persona 5 Tactica also has a cartridge version that they can purchase, with box art featuring all the Phantom Thieves in Tactica's cute new art style.
