Shiny Cubone and Marowak Guide
The Shiny Cubone is just like the normal Cubone but with a different colour palette.
They have an emerald green tint on most of its body apart from its stomach hooves skull and club which remain cream/white.
The chances of finding a shiny pokemon in Pokemon GO are about 450:1.
You won't be able to know for sure that you've got a shiny until you enter the encounter.
At the time of writing, Cubone is actually a part of the Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO.
This is a weekly event that highlights and revolves around a specific pokemon.
From 6 PM to 7 PM local time, Cubone will be will appear more frequently in the wild.
Meaning your odds of meeting one are boosted!
Evolving your Cubone into a Marowak is pretty simple, just use 50 candies; and if you evolve the shiny Cubone, you'll then have yourself a shiny Marowak.
How To Catch Shiny Cubone Outside of Spotlight Hour?
Cubone's can also be encountered in 2 km eggs as well, so you could, if you're super lucky, hatch a shiny from walking your 2 km eggs.
The shiny will still be available in the wild once the Spotlight Hour ends, you'll just have less chance of encountering the shiny. Your best bet though will be to find a local Cubone nest to increase your chances of finding a shiny.
To find your nearest Cubone nest, why not use Silph Road's Global Nest Atlas.
