pThe Pokémon Go Horizons event is the latest collaboration to arrive to the mobile creature-collecting game.
To celebrate the launch of Pokémon Horizons, Niantic has unveiled a new Pokémon Go event that's packed with new Pokémon to capture in addition to other content that's bound to capture the attention of players looking to catch 'em all.

Pokémon Go Horizons event start date
The Pokémon Go Horizons event will kick off on March 5, 2024 and run until March 11, 2024.
The event coincides with the launch of Pokémon Go Horizons on Netflix and BBC iPlayer. During the event, players can expect to encounter new Pokémon, additional bonuses, and a brand-new iteration of Pikachu complete with its own move.
Pokémon Go Charcadet Armarouge Ceruledge
Fire Pokémon Charcadet makes its Pokémon Go debut as part of the Horizons event along with its Armarouge and Ceruledge evolutions.
Evolving Charcadet is incredibly straightforward. To evolve it into Ceruledge, defeat 30 Ghost-type Pokémon and to evolve into Armarouge, defeat 30 Psychic-type Pokémon.
Pokémon Go Pikachu with Cap's Hat
A brand-new Pikachu iteration makes its debut in the Pokémon Go Horizons event. Pikachu wearing Cap's Hat will appear along with its Shiny version in addition to Volt Tackle, a new move from the Pokémon Horizons show.
The move is charged and equipped with 90 power in battles and lowers the defence levels of rivals by a stage.
Pokémon Go Horizons event bonuses
Here's the full list of bonuses available in the Pokémon Go Horizons event:
- Double XP for hatching Pokémon
- Team GO Rocket balloons will appear more often
- Snapshots of Pokémon will feature surprises (Appearance of Liko and Roy in the background)
- PokeStop showcases will be active

During the Pokémon Go Horizons event, some Pokémon will appear more frequently along with a higher chance of encountering their shiny version. All the bolded Pokémon have a higher shiny encounter rate:

Once the Pokémon Go Horizons event has come to an end, Charcadet will only hatch from a 10km egg.
