Pokemon GO's new raid opportunity will bring Mega Pidgeot.
It'll arrive on September 18, so be sure to have a raid pass handy.
Here's how to get the shiny version.
Pokemon GO: How To Catch Mega Pidgeot
Thanks to players completing a whopping two million Mega Raids, Mega Pidgeot can be found in Mega Raids.
Congratulations, Trainers! You’ve done it! You’ve unlocked Pidgeot’s Mega Evolution and Mega Pidgeot raids! These will be available on Friday, September 18 at 1 p.m. PDT. pic.twitter.com/9iOH0Ah7TA

Using the online resource Pokebattler, we know that the following Pokemon are pretty handy against Mega Pidgeot.
- Shadow Raikou
- Shadow Magnezone
- Shadow Electivire
- Zekrom
- Shadow Zapdos
- Rampardos
- Shadow Tyranitar
- Mega Charizard
- Rhyperior
Even with those, it'll be a tough task, but you'll ideally need to buddy up with at least two players with similar lineups.
Essentially, you're looking for your strongest shadow, electric or fire types, as well as any other Mega Evolutions you have in your party.
Once you've knocked Mega Pidgeot's health down and get the chance to catch it, it's not too tricky to hit the "catch circle", although with Pidgeot being a flying-type, you may need to time it just right.
We don't know the ratios of shiny catching opportunities, so if you do catch one, let us know!
