Giratina (Origin Forme) is a tier 5 raid boss (and yes, there is supposed to be an "e" at the end), making it important to get your counters ready ahead of time.
Luckily, if you've got a decent squad of Dark and Dragon-type Pokemon, you'll have a good chance.

Giratina is a Ghost and Dragon-type monster that's boosted by Fog and Windy weather.

- Mega Houndoom - Snarl (Fast Move) + Foul Play (Charge Move)
- Rayquaza - Dragon Tail (Fast Move) + Outrage (Charge Move)
- Palkia - Dragon Tail (Fast Move) + Meteor (Charge Move)
- Dragonite - Dragon Tail (Fast Move) + Outrage (Charge Move)
- Salamence - Dragon Tail (Fast Move) + Draco Meteor (Charge Move)
For backup, we recommend Dialga, Togekiss, Zekrom, or Darkrai.
Giratina (Origin Forme) Counters
Giratina Origin Forme has a varied moveset that includes the following: Dragon Tail, Shadow Ball, Ominous Wind, Shadow Claw and Dragon Pulse.
From these, the best moveset for Giratina Origin Forme Includes Dragon Tail and Shadow Ball.
This combination has the best DPS and is also the best moveset for PVP battles.
