Pokemon GO is celebrating its first weather week with a special Rayquaza Raid weekend event.
Weather week is a special event revolving around a specific weather event and increasing the chances of related Pokemon types appearing during that event.
The first weather week is wind-and-rain, and while Thundurus headlines the event’s five-star Raids, it only makes sense to have Rayquaza, lord of the skies, put in an appearance as well.
Special Raids with Pokemon knowing unique moves are a staple feature in Pokemon GO, and this weather week(end) Raid event is no different.
The weather week Rayquaza will learn a special move befitting the week’s stormy focus.
It’s only available from March 27 at 10 a.m. local time until March 28 at 8 p.m. local time.

Pokemon GO Rayquaza Raid Weekend Caps Off Weather Week
Pokemon GO’s weather week Rayquaza will only appear in five-star Raids alongside Therian Forme Thundurus.
This Rayquaza will know Hurricane, a move normally exclusive to Elite TMs.
Rayquaza descends from the heavens to appear in Pokemon GO infrequently, so make sure you bring your best team.
Rayquaza is Dragon/Flying type, which means Ice Pokemon are a good idea.
Thundurus is Flying/Electric, so Rock or Ice again would be solid choices.
Therian Forme Tornadus will appear after the Raid weekend ends, and Niantic teased Therian Forme Landorus for sometime after that.
