The upcoming Pokémon Go Sinnoh Tour update is about to change the way you engage with Niantic’s exercise friendly monster collector.
First and foremost, the new Pokémon Go content brings in Origin Forms of existing creatures. Originally introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, the Sinnoh legends Dialga and Palkia will be available in their ancient forms.
To go alongside the new Origin Form Pokémon, a brand new Adventure Effects feature will allow players to bend space and time with game-changing results. By interacting with Dialga and Palkia, you’ll be able to change the way you use in-game items.
By interacting with Origin Form Dialga, you’ll be able to use the new Roar of Time adventure effect. This power pauses the timers of Incense, Lucky Eggs and Star Pieces, allowing you to use them for longer. This move costs 5,000 stardust and 5 Dialga Candy to use, and lasts for six minutes.
On the other hand, Palkia’s Spacial Rend ability increases the range that Pokémon appear on the map. You’ll also need to spend 5,000 stardust and 5 Palkia candy to use, and the effect lasts ten minutes.
To use these Adventure Effect abilities, you’ll have to spend Dialga and Palkia Candy. These candies can be found by capturing the base form Pokémon or walking with them as your buddy.
Annoyingly, not every Origin Form Dialga and Palkia will be able to use these special Adventure Effect abilities. Buying either a Diamond or Pearl Sinnoh Tour ticket will effect your chances of getting either one of the Origin Form legendaries.
The Pokémon GO Sinnoh Tour starts on February 24th and ends on the 25th. Whilst playing through the event, players will benefit from boosted shiny rates and an increased chance of hatching typically region-locked creatures.
Pokémon GO is currently available to download for free on Android and iOS.
