Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX includes Treecko as one of the 12 starter Pokemon that you can choose to start with.

Treecko Guide
The Generation 3 grass-type is available as the player or partner through the main game.
Usually, Treecko is chosen if the personality results are Sassy (for males) and Quirky (for females) in nature.
It has normal mobility, meaning it cannot traverse through water, lava and cloud tiles and walls without the assistance of a mobility-enhancing item or a certain IQ skill.
As Treecko is a grass type, he will be weak to fire and flying Pokemon, meaning you should pair it with an electric or water type such as Pikachu, Squirtle, Totodile or Mudkip.
How To Get Treecko
Treecko can be chosen at the start of the game as either the player or partner.
Treecko can be recruited exclusively at Joyous Tower with a recruit rate of 11.2%.
You will come across a Lv1 Treecko with a rarity of:
- 1st floor (27.58%)
- 2nd-3rd floor (21.62%)
- 4th floor (20.0%)
Evolving Treecko
Evolution does not play a massive part in Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, so it is perfectly ok to keep Treecko as he is.
Although stats do not increase from evolution, moves can vary once it evolves into Grovile or Sceptile.
If you do wish to evolve Treecko, you will need to finish the main story and enter the Luminous Cave - be sure to check our evolution guide for more details.
