If you're playing the game and wondering does Veluza evolve in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, we've got the answers you're looking for before you go training something that evolves another way. As well as going over this, we go over what the Pokemon is and how best to use their unique stats.
Being both Water and Psychic-type, Vuluza has an uncommon typing. This leaves you some room to build out your team for the end of the game that, while not weak to much more, gains access to more moves typically favoured by its stat spread. There are a few reasons you may want this Pokemon.
If you're looking for as much information on the game as you can get, here are the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet sandwich recipes, all outfits, and what we know about the game's gym leaders. Here are how the titans work.
Does Veluza evolve in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
No, Veluza does not evolve in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. That doesn't mean it isn't worth tossing a ball at, though - it just means you won't want to wait with belated breath whenever it levels up, thinking it might suddenly turn into something more menacing.
On the upside, Pokemon that don't evolve tend to have relatively high stats right out of the gate. After all, evolution is little more than stat bump, visual change, and sometimes a type tweak as well. It makes getting some better moves harder due to coming in at a later level and with a harsher EXP curve, which non-evolving Pokemon naturally avoid.
Is Veluza good in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
Veluza is a Water/Psychic-type Pokemon with a surprising strength on their attack stat. Given water and psychic-type Pokemon tend to focus on special attacks, this Pokemon will need to focus on the few physical moves from both of those move pools to get the most out of them. It's a little odd, but moves like Psycho Cut will be very powerful with this Pokemon in particular.
You will want to focus on having high attack and rushing your enemy with moves they may not traditionally use. This is a Pokemon that may surprise opponents. Capable of learning Dark and Fighting moves as well, it's surprisingly versatile and will catch Dark-type counters off guard.
