Want to know how to get Mew in Pokemon Stadium? Well, you're not alone. With the game being released onto Nintendo Switch Online, it only makes sense that you'll want to try and get your team as strong as possible. That being said, our guide will help you with figuring out how to get Mew, the beloved legendary Pokemon.
Back in the day, Mew was considered to be the holy grail of Pokemon, being a very power but mysterious Pokemon. It was obtainable only through very specific means in Red, Blue, and Yellow. Thankfully, Stadium makes getting Mew a bit easier, so we'll tell you exactly how to get it.
How to unlock Mew in Pokemon Stadium
In order to get Mew on your team, there's one guaranteed way to do it. That is to get into Round 2 of the game. This is a new bracket of battles that are inherently more difficult, with tougher trainers and evolved Pokemon to battle. Once you've got access to Round 2, Mew will be available as a rental Pokemon. This Mew is available to use in every challenge except the PokeCup and Petit Cup.

Back in the day, it was also possible to get a Mew transferred in from a Red, Blue, or Yellow cart on the Game Boy. At the moment, we don't have the ability to transfer Pokemon from those old games into Pokemon Stadium on Nintendo Switch Online via something like Pokemon Home, so the Rental mode is the only way for players to get Mew for now. If anything changes on that front, and we're somehow able to transfer Pokemon into this Pokemon Stadium in the future, then we'll be sure to update this article to show it.
