Pokemon Sword And Shield Hackers Have Been Warned They Will Be Banned

Recently many hacked Pokemon have been appearing in games from the franchise.

The team have acknowledged the issue and released a statement.

Hackers are also affecting Pokemon's cloud storage, Pokemon Home.

It looks like some punishments will be in place for those using "illegally modified data".

They could lose access to Home even if they have paid for the subscription.

Pokemon Hacker Warning

You can read the official statement below or on Pokemon's site.

"We have confirmed that some users are playing Pokémon Sword Shield and Pokémon Home using illegally modified data."

"In addition, we will take the following measures for users who are deemed inappropriate in terms of operation, such as causing problems with the operation of software and applications or causing inconvenience to other users."

"In the future, we will continue to take similar measures on a regular basis and may implement further restriction measures without prior notice."

"We will regularly monitor and respond to fraudulent and annoying acts so that our users can enjoy themselves with peace of mind. We look forward to your continued support of the Pokémon series."

It's great to see that the team are taking this issue seriously and are taking action!

Pokemon has had its fair share of hacking over the years so it's no surprise.
