How To Evolve Applin
Where many Pokemon evolve after reaching a certain level, Applin is not one of these Pokemon. Similar to Eevee, Applin requires a special item to trigger its evolution.
Applin requires a Sweet or Tart Apple for it to evolve into Flapple or Appletun, depending on which game you have. You can find a wild Applin in Route 5, amongst the grass, after the first gym.

In order to get the Tart/Sweet Apple, you will need to go to Hammerlocke city, which is only accessible after completing the third gym battle.
Once there, head to the Pokemon centre and veer left. Keep going until you come across a trainer nestled within the grass.
As you start talking to this trainer, they will give you the apple depending on the game you have. And that's it, now you should have the evolved Applin!
