WWE 2K24 is going to have a huge roster filled with superstars from the past and present, thanks to the focus on 40 Years of WrestleMania. It’s not just wrestling legends either, as musician Post-Malone has confirmed that he’s going to be a playable character in the game.
On the game’s official Twitter account, Post-Malone announced that he was scanned for the sports entertainment simulator, confirming his presence in the roster. Post-Malone didn’t say if he would be DLC or in the base roster, but if WWE 2K22 is any indication, he will probably be DLC. In addition to being a playable character, Post-Malone is also the producer of this game’s soundtrack.
Funnily enough, WWE 2K24 isn’t the first game in this series to turn a musician into a playable character in the game. Machine Gun Kelly was also DLC in WWE 2K22, where he was said to have performed his moves. Kelly also produced the music for 2K22, much like how Post-Malone is for 2K24.
This isn’t the only odd character being added to the game, as 2K24 will also have Muhammad Ali as a playable “wrestler.” Ali never did any wrestling in the WWE but he was in the very first WrestleMania, so his presence here makes sense. Mike Tyson won’t be in the game, which is a huge shame since Tyson played an integral part in WrestleMania 14.
Most fans won’t care about Post-Malone being in the game, as WWE 2K24 has a huge roster filled with modern-day stars and legends. Cody Rhodes is the game’s cover star, as he tries to finish his story in this year’s WrestleMania 40 event. Rhodes is joined by other big stars like Rhea Ripley, Bianca Belair, Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, and so much more.
