PUBG Mobile and the original PUBG are to be joined by a third title set in the battle royale title's universe.
Developed by former Sledgehammer Games co-studio head (and Dead Space co-creator) Glen Schofield's studio "Striking Distance", the game will be revealed at The Game Awards on Thursday night.

As for what the game is, we do know that the studio was founded by PUBG Corp to help create an "original narrative experience" set in the PUBG universe.
I'm not sure I've ever been hunting a chicken dinner and thinking "oh, I wish there was more lore", but Schofield's pedigree speaks for itself.
"We’re working together to build the studio from the ground up so we can begin crafting an original narrative experience in the PUBG universe," Schofield said when unveiling the studio in 2019.
"As a creative, the freedom to explore the PUBG universe has me excited about the possibilities, which we view as beyond battle royale, and I’m excited for the next step, which is finding the right people to join us on this journey."

While Twitter has been abuzz about the possibility of a Dead Space game for quite some time, Schofield also worked on Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Call of Duty: WWII.
