Mortal Kombat Trilogy Remake Petition Gains 15K Signatures, Will be Pitched to Warner Bros. After Reaching 100K

Mortal Kombat has been doing really well in recent years, with the recent releases of Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat 11 having critical and commercial success, while the recent live-action movie was adored by fans, so one would think that Warner Bros. would jump at the chance to publish a Mortal Kombat Trilogy Remake.

Sadly, that hasn’t been the case as the folks at Eyeballistic have been pitching a Mortal Kombat Trilogy Remake to Warner Bros. for literal years now and the studio is planning to do so again once they reach 100,000 signatures in a brand-new petition that has already received a ton of love.

Mortal Kombat Trilogy Remake Petition Gains 15K Signatures, Will be Pitched to Warner Bros. After Reaching 100K

The petition to Eyeballistic’s Mortal Kombat Trilogy Remake pitch to Warner Bros. and Ed Boon has already received 15K signatures, so that’s 85K to go but that’s still an impressive feat, so we hope that this gets the attention of Boon.

Eyeballistic’s Joe Treska even released some alpha footage of the Mortal Kombat Trilogy Remake to show his appreciation, showing off the HD character models, with plans to remake every character, stage, and music to make this game appeal to modern gamers.

Fans that want to check out the history of Eyeballistic’s Mortal Kombat Trilogy Remake can check out this excellent retrospective from YouTuber Matt McMuscles, detailing some of the pitches Eyeballistic has made in the past, along with how Ed Boon and other execs initially showed interest in the project.

Considering the lack of ways to play the classic Mortal Kombat games on modern consoles, it would be great to have a remake of these games to show everyone how this title changed the genre, especially since Mortal Kombat 11 ended up being a celebration of the whole franchise.

Should Warner Bros. approve of Eyeballistic’s Mortal Kombat Trilogy Remake, the devs have plans to release the games on Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series, and PC for about $39.99, which sounds like an excellent plan.
