In Remnant 2, you'll encounter several boss fights throughout your playing experience. One of them is the Red Prince, who can be very challenging if you aren't knowledgeable on how he behaves when attacking. We'll make it easier for you through our guide on how to beat the Red Prince in Remnant 2.

Like any other boss in the game, you'll have to learn the attack patterns of the Red Prince so you can best strategise how to defeat him. It may take some time, but with our guide and some practice, you'll be able to defeat him.

How to beat the Red Prince in Remnant 2

You must first be aware of the kind of attacker the Red Prince is in Remnant 2. He has a lot of heavy melee attacks, balanced out with flaming ranged attacks. These may both seem impossible to overcome, but fortunately the Red Prince is slow on speed. You'll have ample time to predict how he attacks so you can move and fight accordingly.

When you battle the Red Prince in Losomn, he'll first demand you to submit and pledge your loyalty to him, which of course you'll disagree with. Upon declining his demands, you'll then challenge him to a fight.

At the beginning of the battle, try to shoot at the Red Prince's crown. This is because the crown is actually a weak spot that can create major damage to the boss. But steer clear of the flame attack of the Red Prince, as he can send five projectiles towards you. You can avoid this by rolling out of the way or going to a lower area of the environment.

Once you've depleted at least one-third of the Red Prince's health, he'll then release clones of himself. It's best if you defeat the clones as soon as you can, because they can deal additional damage towards you. It helps if you get to higher ground and shoot at the flame clones of the Red Prince. But don't forget to still avoid the actual Red Prince's ranged attacks.

After eliminating the flame clones of the Red Prince, he'll then release a major flame attack that will cover the entire area. You'll have to roll and avoid taking damage from this attack. It helps if you stand in the centre of the room and just wait for him to reappear.

As the Red Prince reappears, he'll then unleash his heavy melee attacks. This will require you to roll multiple times to avoid this, but there is some timing with his swings that you need to watch out for, so you don't roll too early or too late.

When you further decrease the Red Prince's health to around two-thirds, the area of flames will die down and all you have to do is continue firing at the Red Prince until he is defeated. Be sure to maintain a distance and don't rush yourself into immediately defeating him, because this may instead be the cause of your own demise.

With that, you're prepared and ready to take on the Red Prince in Remnant 2! If you think this guide was helpful, you might enjoy reading through our other pieces such as best builds in Remnant 2 and our guide on what to upgrade first in Remnant 2.
