The first ever trailer for GTA 6 won’t be as long as many fans were hoping for. After years of waiting, the new Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer comes in at just one and a half minutes long.

Prior to the game’s trailer debut, Rockstar Games set up a YouTube premiere, preparing fans for the video’s release on December 4, 2023.

Games website VGC looked into the metadata of the trailer’s premiere setup, revealing the length of the new video. According to the video’s metadata, the first GTA 6 trailer will last 91 seconds/1 minute and 31 seconds.

Rockstar’s GTA 6 debut trailer matches the same length of other reveal videos from the studio. The first ever Grand Theft Auto V trailer lasted 85 seconds; Red Dead Redemption 2’s first trailer came in at 69 seconds.

Later trailers from Rockstar Games for GTA V were more robust with one trailer lasting 4 minutes and 52 seconds. However, that trailer released two years after the reveal video for Rockstar’s now decade-long open world game.

The first ever GTA 6 trailer will release tomorrow at 9am ET / 6am PT / 2pm GMT / 3pm CET. At the time of writing, over 40,000 users have entered the video’s premiere chat, waiting for the video to go live in over 21 hours time.

GTA 6 has been the center of major leaks over the past year. The game was targeted by a hacker, releasing in-development footage of the open world game showing unfinished graphics and gameplay of the new GTA game. Another recent leak, allegedly from a developer’s son, has also shown in-development footage of the game.

With GTA V selling over 190 million copies since its 2013 release, Grand Theft Auto 6 has the potential to be one of the best selling games of all time.

GTA 6 is expected to release sometime during 2024 on Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. The game is also expected to release on PC sometime after its console launch.
