Dying Light 2 is an action role-playing game from Techland and in it, you are a Pilgrim called Aiden. You end up getting involved in several problems in The City while trying to achieve your own goal. The large open-world map is broken up into several sections. Each one has its own challenges and fractious societies for you to navigate while you unravel your own story.

Throughout the game, there are heaps of human enemies, infected zombies, and collectibles for you to discover. Whether it's scrambling across rooftops to escape to a safe zone before night falls or using an old table leg to fight off angry foes, there is always something to do.

We're going to show you how to save your game, so you can ensure your hard-earned progress is safe.

How to Save Your Game

The beauty of this game is that you don't need to save it. There is an autosave system that triggers each time you pass a certain story checkpoint, find a collectible or progress your skills and upgrade your skill trees. When the game is saving, you will see the symbol below appear on your screen:

If you see this symbol, wait until it disappears before turning your device off.

If you are in a rush, you can trigger the autosave yourself. To do this, head to any safe zone that has a bed in it for Aiden to use. You can find the appropriate safe zones by looking at the map. They will have a green bed symbol on or near them. All you need to do is head to the zone, find the bed and choose to "rest until (next cycle, day or night)". This will trigger the autosave function.

Once you are comfortable with saving your game in Dying Light 2, you can focus on venturing through the story. Fighting off infected and angry humans on your own can be tricky, so take a look at our guide on online multiplayer co-op. Also, parkour is the key way of travelling across The City.
