A pirate’s life is rarely ever peaceful, but getting the Catching Rays Commendation in Sea of Thieves does give you the opportunity for a bit of tranquillity. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get that moment of peace and quiet, even if it only lasts for a few seconds.
With all the looting and pillaging you’ll be doing in Sea of Thieves, exploring some islands for a few commendations could be a nice change of pace. You might still encounter a few threats here and there, but it’s definitely a lot less stressful than fighting off an armada of enemy pirates.
After getting the Catching Rays Commendation, feel free to take a look at some of our other Sea of Thieves guides. We can show you how to bury treasure and get Curses in the action-adventure game.
How to complete the Sea of Thieves Catching Rays Commendation
To get the Catching Rays Commendation in Sea of Thieves, you will have to travel to Plunder Valley and climb its highest peak at noon. This island is part of the Ancient Isles that are found in G16 on your map.
The spot you’re looking for is on a ledge atop the island’s highest peak. You can find this place near a Festival of the Damned Beacon at the centre of the island.
You’ll know you’re in the right location when you’re prompted to take in the view. Confirm the prompt to take a seat at the ledge and wait until noon rolls around. If you’re still sitting at this spot during the appropriate time, you’ll complete the commendation.
And that’s how to get the Catching Rays Commendation in Sea of Thieves. While you’re here, you can take a look at more of our guides on the action-adventure game like how to do Tall Tales in order or how to get the Artistic Souls Commendation.
