Following last week's release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, both remake titles have dominated the Japanese charts, becoming the second biggest game launch for Nintendo Switch in history.
GamesIndustry.biz reports that both games sold 1,395,642 units in just three days across Japan. This was based on the data presented by Famitsu and is now second place for this record, beaten only by Animal Crossing: New Horizons. That sold 1.8 million copies solid in three days.

Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl's record doesn't include digital sales through the Nintendo eShop. But Nintendo Life reports that their digital counterparts are now labelled as 'bestsellers," implying these have unsurprisingly seen high sales digitally.
