Cryptocurrency travel agency Travala will now accept Shiba Inu Coin payments after SHIB won a community vote against rival cryptocurrency Floki Inu.

The Travala token battle between Floki and SHIB gained almost 4.9m votes. SHIB took some 3.4m votes in the battle - some 69% of the total turnout.

This is the latest in a line of products to accept SHIB. After NOWPayments allowed merchants to accept SHIB payments, the likes of AMC, Newegg, and the Shiba Coffee Company also have made SHIB payment announcements.

SHIB Payments For Travel

Travala, which states it has over 3 million travel products worldwide, made the announcement in a tweet on December 7.

The ShibArmy celebrated the achievement - seen as yet another step towards mainstream SHIB adoption.

“Thank you Travala! Let’s book our first vacation paid in SHIB!” said the GossipShib Twitter account.

Shiba Inu’s volunteer project lead, Shytoshi Kusama, quote tweeted the announcement, simply with the caption: ”BOOM!”

In a post recommending new SHIB businesses, one Redditor also suggested the ShibArmy should create a SHIB travel agent.

Travala already accepts a wide variety of cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and BNB. However, it also accepts some smaller cryptocurrencies, such as Basic Attention Token, Chilliz and even Kishu Inu.

If you fancy jetting off from London to New York on January 1 using SHIB, a return ticket from United Airlines and a stay at the Hilton would cost you over 46.3m SHIB, based on Travala prices.
