The Shiba Inu Games may release in September, according to a comment made by SHIB project lead Shytoshi Kusama.
Answering questions in the Shiba Türkiye Telegram, the developer briefly spoke about several projects on the Shiba Inu Roadmap, including the Shiba Inu Metaverse.
Here’s the latest on the Shiba Inu Games, currently being developed by PlaySide Studios.
Shiba Inu Games Release Date
In the Shiba Türkiye Telegram on April 21, Shytoshi gave a small update on the Shiba Inu Games’ prospective launch.
After being asked how much longer SHIB holders can expect to wait for the game projects, Shytoshi said: “September I believe we will be done.”
This remains in line with previous comments relating to the Shiba Inu Games’ release date. PlaySide said they would launch in Q1 FY23. In the Australian financial year, this is between June and September 2022.
Shytoshi previously gave a more cautious date for the Shiba Inu Games’ launch. In the SHIB Discord, he said they were hoping for a Q4 launch.
The Shiba Inu Games, split into mobile and blockchain-based titles, are collectable trading card games that will feature cards based around the wider Shiba Inu ecosystem.
Alongside his comments on the games’ release date, Shytoshi also reaffirmed the prospective release date for the Shibarium Layer-2. After stating Shibarium would launch“very soon” on the Shiba Discord server, he expanded on this in the Turkish Telegram. Shytoshi commented: “According to our partners at Xfund, we are weeks or a few months away.”
The Shiba Türkiye community is among the most active sub-groups in the Shiba Inu Community. It gained attention and praise from the ShibArmy earlier this year after it arranged a meeting with a Turkish politician to talk about SHIB.
