The world of The Sims is full of wacky events and unexpected occurrences that can leave players dying with laughter and searching for an explanation.

After all, which other game boasts such a humongous list of confusing glitches and baffling goings-on, including the likes of a family of Keanu Reeves clones, conspiracy-laden phone calls from Santa Claus and children that look a bit like Voldemort?

However, it seems that strange Sims things that get players talking don’t just happen in the game. One Redditor’s attempt to tier list all of the pre-made Sims in The Sims 4 is the current hot topic within the game’s fan base.

Which Sims 4 characters do you think are iconic?

The thread containing this controversial categorisation in the subreddit r/thesims began with a post from the user responsible for it, rosemarysims, who asked: “are we still doing tier lists?” and subsequently answered their own question by posting their massive tier list of covering most of the population of The Sims 4.

Said list was divided into some rather interesting categories, with ‘Baby’ serving as the top end of the scale and ‘Why do they look like yassifications?’ being the lowest classification. Between the two were more interesting categories such as ‘Who are you?’, ‘Hair disaster’ and ‘Quality DILF’.

Naturally, some of rosemarysims’ fellow Sims stans disagreed with some of their picks, with user kaitlynabbey arguing: “Alice Martin in ‘who are you?’??? Couldn't be!! (I) married her like immediately, (there) should be a whole separate category for ‘wife material’ with just her in it.” and Wazzapolo saying: “Excuse me, I think you made a mistake, why is Makoa Kealoha not in hot?”

Meanwhile, user Dartimas asked: “Hey, can someone tell me why Victor Feng isn’t in the Quality DILF tier?”, only for Appropriate-Drop-792 to inform them that he lacks the necessary children.

Thankfully, some of rosemarysims’ takes did go down well, with user mintguy saying: “Thank you for listing Mayor Whiskers in iconic. He’s the only repeat lottery winner in my saves.”
