Are you ready to be a swashbuckler? Indeed, in the new Ubisoft game we will be able to go sailing out, plunder riches and become the most evil pirate around. Or not. But what about internet connection? Can you actually play Skull and Bones offline? Let's find out.
The game is being awaited by many gamers who are also curious to find out more about its release date, of course, and also its map size.
But in this article, we will dive in and find out if you can play Skull and Bones offline or if an internet connection is required.
Can you play Skull and Bones offline?
According to what we know so far, it is not possible to play Skull and Bones offline. A server connection is required to run the game. Naturally, this doesn't mean that there is no single player content, as you will be able to play against other AI opponents.
But the server connection is still required, as it is many times with these kind of games as the developers have to be sure that everyone is playing on the same version of the game. This prevents not only cheating, but makes sure that you are playing with all the latest content activated.
Also, if you're worried about online play, we can also tell you that perhaps in the future Skull and Bones might receive an update so that you are free to play it offline. It might not happen for a few months, or even years, but often times in order to prevent the game from being unplayable, the developers might decide to apply an offline patch.
But, for now, that is all you need to know about playing Skull and Bones offline. For more information on the pirate game, check out our guide on its combat mechanics.
