When duking it out with divine beings across several mythologies, it's important to find a character you’re comfortable playing as. In this guide, we’ll be taking a look at all Smite 2 Gods to help you choose a deity that suits your style.
The original Smite made quite the splash on the MOBA scene being the first game in the genre with console players in mind. Over a decade later, the long-awaited sequel is bringing back all the divine action you love with updated visuals and gameplay.

All Confirmed Smite 2 Gods
After 10 years worth of updates, Smite has over 100 Gods on its roster. Developer Hi-Rez has confirmed that we can’t expect all of these playable avatars to be available right away in Smite 2, so here’s a list of confirmed deities so far:
- Anhur
- Anubis
- Bacchus
- Bellona
- Cernunnos
- Chaac
- Kukulkan
- Loki
- Odin
- Ymir
- Hecate
- Hou Yi
- King Arthur

- Neith
- Susano
- Zeus
- Nox
- Danzaburou
- Hercules
- Izanami
- Nu Wa
- Pele
- Fenrir
- Jingwei
- Sol
- Yemoja
These playable Gods have been revealed so far from the Smite 2 Alpha test, developer footage, and various trailers that showcase which heroes we can expect to see. Nevertheless, much like Smite 1, we're in store for legends from across many different pantheons, such as Egyptian, Greek, Hindu, Roman, Celtic, and many more.
From our time with the alpha, only a small selection of this roster was available. Since the returning Gods have been revamped with the move to Smite 2 and its upgraded engine, even these familiar faces require a lot of work on the developer's end.
Of these entities listed, Hecate is the first brand-new God for Smite 2. To prepare for the arrival of the Greek Goddess of magic and witchcraft, Smite 2 has given Hecate her own trailer which you can see for yourself below.
We can bank on Smite 2 adding more playable Gods post-launch so be sure to check back on this guide regularly for any new info.
Smite 2 Classes and God Roles
With various pantheons to pull from, Smite 2 has a wide selection of Gods to play as, much like its predecessor. Every playable character has unique skills, but each of them fills a certain role on the team.
Here's a quick rundown of the different Smite 2 classes:
- Assassin - melee attackers that excel at being junglers and gankers
- Guardian - melee combatants that serve as the team's initiator, tank, or support
- Hunter - ranged attack specialists that can carry fights
- Mage - magical damage dealers that can provide offense from a distance
- Warrior - melee bruisers that can take as much damage as they can dish out
