It looks like fans want more Legacy of Kain, as Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered are getting physical releases. Originally, this collection from Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics was limited by, well, Limited Run Games, but that’s no longer the case. Considering how digital games tend to have an expiration date, owning them physically will appeal to many collectors.

Gamespot confirmed that there will be two physical versions of the game coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, all of which can be purchased on Amazon. Naturally, there’s a Standard version of the collection that only includes the physical game and nothing else, costing $35. There’s also the big Deluxe Edition that’s a decently-priced $50.

Anyone who gets the Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered Deluxe Edition will get the following:

  • Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered base game (PS5 or Switch)
  • Exclusive Steelbook Case
  • The Art of Nosgoth Art Book
  • Official Soundtrack CD
  • Collector's Box

PC owners will only get a code for the game because current gaming computers don’t have any physical discs anymore. Some fans miss this, but considering how convenient digital games are on PC, we can’t blame them. At the least, players will get some awesome physical goodies, which is great for fans of this underrated series.

Many fans were worried that the Legacy of Kain games were dead forever, so getting Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered on modern systems is a treat. The actual game is filled with extras for lore lovers, including voice-acting outtakes, promotional material, canceled levels, and more. If you want this series to continue, definitely get the physical version and some of the extra material coming out.

Now that we have the first two Souls Reaver games remastered, it will be interesting to see what’s next. Fans would love to get the first two Legacy of Kain games, especially if they get cool visual improvements and more extras. Hopefully, we get these follow-ups, much like the recently released Tomb Raider 4-6 Remastered Collection.
