We want more content!

Spider-Man 2 creative director, Bryan Intihar, mentioned in the Kinda Funny Spoilercast that he'd love to do another smaller, more contained title like Miles Morales, even if he doesn't feel that it should be treated as DLC.

I would love to make more games like Miles. I would love to do more stuff like that, if it works out (...) I can tell you we worked just as hard in Miles Morales as we did in Spider-Man 2. Blood, sweat, and tears went into that experience.

Spider-Man 2018 had a nice collection of DLC, three total: The Heist, Turf Wars, and Silver Lining, collectively known as The City That Never Sleeps expansion. However, 2020's Miles Morales Spider-Man feature no extra downloadable content, with many thinking it was due to the smaller scale of the game.

With Spider-Man 2 having a few loose threads and things being set up in both the main story and the side-quests, fans are hopeful that we won't have to wait too long for new content.

While it hasn't been confirmed, it's very likely that Insomniac's next project is the Wolverine game that was revealed at the same time Spider-Man 2 did during the September 2021 PlayStation Showcase, meaning that we might have to wait a little longer than usual for the next Spidey outing.

There was indeed a five-year gap between the first and second main Spider-Man titles, but having both The City That Never Sleeps DLC and the Miles Morales spin-off title helped fans cruise by. Will we have Spider-Man 2 DLC to help this time around? Only time will tell.
