We've all been waiting for it, and now the next Splatoon 3 event is just around the corner. This time, it is a themed Splatoon 3 Pokémon Splatfest, to herald in Generation Nine of the pivotal games.
Though a lot of fans are saddened by the lack of seasonal events, like the previous games' Splatoween celebrations, this Splatfest will definitely provide a raucous time for all to enjoy. Choose a team based on the three starting Pokémon types, and join in battles to earn wins for your side.

When does the Splatfest start?
The Splatfest is billed as starting on November 11, a week before Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's release.
In Splatoon 3, the Splatfests run on separate servers for each region, so the Europe and UK time is midnight on November 12, to midnight on November 14.

The Splatfest will run for two whole days, giving us plenty of time to get a fresh title and earn points for our team.
What is the Pokémon Splatfest in Splatoon 3?
Splatoon 3 is joining with Pokémon to celebrate the release of Scarlet and Violet next week, by hosting a themed Splatfest. How is it themed, you ask? Well, each of the three members of Deep Cut will be representing a different starter Pokémon type related to Fuecoco, Quaxly, and Sprigatito.
- Shiver - Grass
- Frye - Fire
- Big Man - Water
Splatoon 3's Splatfests work a little differently from the previous games, in that now we have tri-colour battles between three teams. These appear in the second half of the Splatfest, once a winning team has emerged. The two 'losing' teams will work together to defeat the winners, as they try and defend their area.

Currently, the 'sneak peek' phase of the Splatfest is active, where players can choose their team, and receive a Splatfest Tee. You can spend this time levelling it up, and adding which abilities you want to take into battle. Remember, you can only wear the Splatfest Tee during the event, so make sure it's good!
The sneak peek also lets us get those coveted Conch Shells. These are won whenever a catalog or experience level is improved, and can be spent on the Shell-Out Machine.
What are the Pokémon Splatfest rewards?
So, what do we get for participating in or winning the Splatfest? The answer is a pile of Sea Snails! And of course, bragging rights. These Sea Snails can be used to add ability slots to your gear, to get the maximum amount of buffs at once.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will release worldwide the following week on November 18, where trainers can traverse the new Paldea region with a new starter Pokemon of their choice; either Quaxly, Sprigatito, or Fuecoco.
