There's nothing that needs to be difficult in Squad Busters. In fact it's far from an overly complicated game. Thanks to our Squad Busters beginner guide, the free-to-play mobile game will quickly become understandable and simple -- all while being super fun to play.

Developed by Finnish developer Supercell, known for their well-loved mobile games like Clash of Clans and Hay Day, Squad Busters is their newest game.

In it, players will collect a squad full of heroes to fight off enemies and collect gems. It sounds simple enough, but there are plenty of things to learn so that your first few hours of Squad Busters are both memorable and fulfilling.

Squad Busters Tips and Tricks

Having started Squad Busters for the first time, these tips and tricks will help you stand out among the crowd. Not only will you be ahead of the game, but with our help, you'll easily become a master at this squad-building game in no time at all.

Start With Barbarian

To get ahead in Squad Busters, you'll need to defeat enemies to grab coins and build up your team. The easiest way to do that is by starting your games with an Attacker character like Barbarian. Not only does he have high damage, but fairly good health that'll allow him to be prepared for a fight.

Avoid The Vines

Like battle royale games, the map that you and other players fight on will get smaller over time. As it does, you'll encounter vines pushing inwards on the edge of the map—avoid them like your life depends on it.

Interacting with the vines will cause damage, as well as push you to the center of the map where other players will be. And they may be looking to bust you up to steal your precious gems, so plan wisely.

Focus On Yourself

It's true that one of the main features of Squad Busters is that you and your squad can bust up other players and steal their gems, but for new players? We recommend that you focus on yourself and building up your squad first.

The reason for this is that trying to pick fights with players may not always go in your favour, especially if these players have taken the time to focus on upgrading and improving their squad.

If you desperately feel like you need to bust (behave), then only do so if you feel confident in your team's fighting abilities.

Gems, Gems, Gems

Gems are the most important thing for a player to have. Having the most will help you win the game, and you can also use gems to level up your Gem Pass.

The Gem Pass works like your regular Battle Pass, with a free and paid version, and can offer a wild selection of rewards. So always try your best to win.

Collect More Characters With Chests

If you find yourself liking a particular hero, you'll most certainly want more of them. Most characters are found in chests, which players earn after each match.

Depending on how well a player has done in the match, the higher the chance a chest will upgrade and reveal a hero with a higher rarity type. The rarer a hero, the stronger they are.

Characters can also be obtained by unlocking worlds and/or purchasing them in the in-game store. That said, it is entirely possible to collect the heroes you want solely by earning chests after your matches.

Gold Is Important

While gems are the most vital resource in a Squad Busters match, you don't want to neglect how useful gold is. The more gold you have, the more chests you can unlock to pick the characters you feel will help you overall. To get more gold and other items, we recommend getting characters like Goblin. Goblin may look like an unappealing hero, but his natural ability to spawn gold makes him one of the most efficient heroes during the early, beginner stages of Squad Busters.

Diversify Your Squad

The more diverse your squad's makeup, the better your chances of standing out against the enemies you encounter.

With six classes, your Squad Busters heroes all have unique abilities and capabilities that'll make them useful, no matter their rarity type. You just need to see what they can do, what best fits your playstyle, and then pick what suits you best.

Strive Towards Your Perfect Team

Your squad is your ultimate weapon in this game, and it'll help you know which characters to aim for to make the perfect team. If you're unsure which characters are essential to your squad, we recommend using our Squad Busters tier list.

Never Give Up

It's easy to say this, but the number one way to get better at Squad Busters is to never let even the mightiest of enemy squads perturb you.

If you can figure out how to get the most coins, you'll be able to win no matter your set up. Each hero, despite their varying level of usefulness, has the potential to swoop in and help you win despite the overwhelming odds.

That's all the tips and tricks you need from our Squad Busters beginner guide to guarantee your success. For more information, check out our pages on codes, where the game is currently available to play, and what to expect when the exciting squad-building game launches globally.
